Anne Frank Exhibition Private Viewing
The Anne Frank Exhibition has been on display in school for the two weeks, in the run up to Holocaust Memorial Day on Friday 27th January. The Year 9 Council were trained as peer educators and have guided students from Year 7 and Year 8 around the exhibition to educate them about Anne Frank’s life and the impact of the Holocaust. The first event of the Spring term programme for the Family and Friends of Woodside Group also took place this week with a special private viewing of the Anne Frank exhibition.
It was a wonderful, uplifting evening that was really well attended by families, students, staff, Governors and friends of Woodside. It was a particular pleasure to have the CEO of the Anne Frank Trust, Robert Posner, visit and see the impact the exhibition has had. It was fantastic to be able to share the work of students with our whole school community and for us all to connect and celebrate together.
Special thanks to Jade, Dottie, Lahmar, Berfin, Paaris, Janiz, Edson, Iulian, Keira, Fatima, Sadaf and Bersan for their hard work and commitment throughout their experience as Anne Frank Peer guides. Thanks also to Kleida, Eray, Tayla, Tyreece, Joe, Amerisa and Tohidul for representing the senior Student Leadership Team and the Equality Group. Everyone who attended the event commented on how impressed they were with students' maturity and depth of knowledge. Congratulations!
"The students' work is extremely good. It has been a delight to see all the work. The students have done in their research. I enjoyed the exhibition. I hope to see another one in the near future. Thanks for inviting us. The refreshments were good."

"The students were amazing guides - so committed and impressive! A credit to the school!"
"I was shown round the exhibition by Iulian who did an exceptional job explaining the panels to us (without any notes). He did a very professional job. Also, I want to thank the hospitality team - they all did a wonderful job. Well done everyone"
