Jack Petchey Award Winners
This term two exceptional Year 11 students have been awarded the prestigious Jack Petchey Award. The Jack Petchey Award is presented to young people who have excelled at school or in the community. Dea Xherri and Jessica Teixeira were both extremely deserving award winners. We look forward to seeing them receive their Jack Petchey medallions at the Haringey award ceremony later this academic year.
“Dea is a committed and hard working student. She is helpful, sensitive and supportive of others. Despite the challenges of her visual impairment, she excels in all that she does. She is also a valuable member of the wider school community, taking an active role in the Equalities Group. Dea is always willing to go that extra mile and she is a real asset to the school.” Ms Conway, Head of English
“Jessica took on mentoring in Year 10. She is dedicated, conscientious and caring. She volunteered to continue mentoring for an extra year in addition to her other commitments. Her mentee has improved under her guidance and appreciates her enormously. She is very mature for her age and despite difficulties she is courageous enough to always persevere and most importantly act with decency and thoughtfulness when others in her situation would have given way to anger and despair.” Ms Somerville
