Emeli Sandé Inspires!

We were absolutely delighted to welcome the Brit Award winning singer and songwriter, Emeli Sandé to Woodside this term.

Emeli came to help us judge our annual Black History Month display competition and was shown around the school by members of our Equality Group. She was then treated to a fantastic performance by our choir. We were thrilled and delighted when the students then asked Emeli to play them something and she unexpectedly treated them to a spine-tingling performance of her hit song, ‘Read All About It’.

It was an amazing experience for our whole school community and we are so grateful to Emeli for making the time to visit us at Woodside.

We are looking forward to the final judging of the BHM Competition on 31st October to see which tutor group takes the prize this year. It has been an amazing competition this year which has seen great enthusiasm and creativity from everyone in the school. Well done!
